Subwaydle is an entertaining way to assess one's knowledge of the New York City subway system. Several restrictions must be followed with backtracking and transfers.
How to play the Subwaydle game?
Wordle and Subwaydle are two word games that have much of the same rules. There is a predetermined path that, on a daily basis, travels between two of the 472 stations that make up the subway system. For example, in the puzzle that was posted on Friday, players needed to make two different transfers in order to get from Jefferson Avenue to Wall Street. You will need to make plans for a trip that involves three trains and two transfers in order to go from one train to the next. No matter how effective the route may be, it must be able to physically function within the constraints of the subway system. This means that there cannot be any transfers outside of the station, nor can there be any bus connections.
After each guess, the tiles will change color to provide you with tips, just like in Wordle. In addition to this, the puzzles that are played during the week are based on the train schedules during the middle of the day, whilst the puzzles that are played on the weekends are based on the train timetables for the weekend. You have a total of six opportunities available to you.
